Camp Counselor
Served as a friendly, hardworking, and punctual employee. Worked with a team to provide a fun filled atmosphere for the children. Provided leadership in camp activities. Promoted diversity and inclusion within the camp, encouraged the children to make new friends and long lasting relationships. Adjusted to the different behaviors and backgrounds of each child. Used my personal uniqueness and background to make camp memorable and as fun as possible for the children.

Volunteer
I volunteer at the local social services in Elizabeth City, NC. I assist in acquiring the supplies needed for training the new foster parents, giving them the necessities to succeed. I also help them to be involved as much as possible in the process of becoming a foster parent.

As a member of this program myself along side the organization promotes education with a special focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), encourages entrepreneurship, financial literacy and economic stability. This is also an organization where Black Women can come together to empower one another as well as others through service initiatives.

My role ranged from meeting with students one-on-one to offer help and ideas with their stories, to giving feedback to the young authors when meeting in the writers' circle, to simply helping with breakfast, snack and lunch throughout the day.
